Renaming a Virtual Machine

Rename a virtual machine (VM) to change its name as it appears on the Virtual Machines page.

If you need to change the host name of the guest operating system running in a VM, use guest operating system tools.

To rename a virtual machine

1. On the Virtual Machines page, select a VM.
2. Click Shutdown and wait for the VM to shut down.
3. Double-click the name of the VM.
4. Type the new name and press Enter.
