Creating and Initializing a Disk (Windows-based VMs)
Create and initialize a disk to prepare it for partitioning into volumes in a Windows-based virtual machine.
To create and initialize a disk in a Windows-based virtual machine

            - Use the everRun Availability Console to create a new volume in a storage group on the everRun system, as described in Creating a Volume in a Virtual Machine.

            - In the Windows guest operating system, open Disk Management or a similar utility.

            - Initialize the newly-added disk. (You may be prompted to do so automatically.)

            - Convert the disk to a dynamic disk.

            - Create one or more simple volumes on the disk.

            - Restart the Windows guest operating system.

See your Windows documentation for complete instructions.
Note: Because the everRun software already mirrors data at the physical level, volume redundancy is not required in the Windows guest operating system.
