Booting from a Virtual CD
Boot a virtual machine from a virtual CD (VCD) to install a guest operating system or to perform maintenance.
Before booting from a VCD, you must shut down the virtual machine.
To boot a virtual machine from a VCD

            - If necessary, create a VCD from a bootable CD/DVD (see Creating a Virtual CD).

            - On the Virtual Machines page, select a virtual machine.

            - If the virtual machine is running, click Shutdown.

            - When the virtual machine status shows stopped, click Boot from CD in the lower pane.

            - Select the bootable VCD, then click Boot.

Note: A Windows-based virtual machine booted from a VCD boots as a hardware virtual machine (HVM), and it can access only the first three disk volumes.
