Obtaining everRun Enterprise Software

Stratus provides the everRun Enterprise installation media as an ISO image. You can boot from it directly, or you can burn it to a DVD.

To obtain the ISO image:

1. From any computer connected to the Internet, go to the everRun Enterprise Downloads and Support page at http://www.stratus.com/go/support/everrun.

2. To download the everRun Enterprise software ISO image (everRun_Enterprise_install-7.x.x.x-xx.iso), under Product Download, click everRun Enterprise 7.x.x.x ISO Image. Save the ISO image.

   Note: Depending on your Internet connection, the download can take up to 30 minutes.

   Occasionally a file can be corrupted during the download process. To verify that the downloaded file is not corrupted, perform steps 3 through 7, otherwise skip to step 8.

3. To download the MSUMS file, under Product Download, click everRun Enterprise 7.x.x.x md5sum. Save the file.
4. From the Internet, find the md5sum.exe file and download it to the directory containing the everRun Enterprise ISO image.
5. If you have a Windows-based system, open a command prompt.
6. Go to the directory containing the md5sum.exe, md5, and ISO image files, and then type the following command to check the ISO image's status:
• On Windows: md5sum.exe -c everRun_Enterprise_install-7.x.x.x.xxx.md5

• On Linux: md5sum -c everRun_Enterprise_install-7.x.x.x.xxx.md5

7. If the command succeeds (that is, it returns the message everRun_Enterprise_install-7.x.x.x.-xxx.iso: OK), go to the next step. If the command fails, repeat the download.
8. When the validation is complete, do one of the following:
• Burn the ISO image to a DVD, and then perform the next step in Installing everRun Enterprise Software.
• If you are not burning the ISO image to a DVD, perform the next step in Installing everRun Enterprise Software.
